Triple Choc Easter Nest Cupcakes...

These treaties are simply a chocolate overload!
Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chips...
Chocolate butter cream icing...
Chocolate hail...
AND
Chocolate eggs!!!
Was I kidding?
Nope - we are talking a 10 out of 10 on the chocolate overload scale.
But oh they are sooooo goooood!

I'm also loving aqua at the moment!
Especially shabby aqua birdcages!
 I'm loving fuchsias too...
 with their gorgeous ballerina petals.
 Shabby blue glazed birds...
What a pretty vignette with the fuchsias and birdcage.
Add the Triple Choc Easter Nest Cupcakes...
And it's looking a whole lot like Easter here at Mia Bella Passions!
And just in case you have not seen enough...
 Here...
 are a whole lot more...
 aqua and chocolate divine...
 photos...
with the added beauty of flowers
 Enjoy this visual feast...

Mia Bella Passions: Ella Cat...

Just had to share these photographs of Ella.
She was mooching around on the 'Porch Love' photo shoot,
but very quickly developed a look of pure indignation!
That may well have been due to the fact the camera lens was a mere inch from her nose!
Ella said, 'What do you think you are doing?".
"Nope I am NOT looking at that black thing you have poked in my face!"
"You are invading my personal space!"
 Not impressed!
"Enough is enough, don't you think?"
I can't decide which pic I like the best...
Which ones your favourite?

Pretty Home Décor Accents Using a Teacup, Flowers and a Doily...

Pretty Home Décor Accents Using a Teacup, Flowers and a Doily...
This would have to be the easiest way to put an instant pop into a room
Use a beautiful hand stitched doily as a base for the vignette...
Add a little posy of hand-picked garden flowers
I have used some sweet dahlias from Mia Bella Gardens...
In gorgeous shades of lemon...
and pink.
And some sprigs of Sweet Alyssum.
Alyssum 'Carpet of Snow' to be precise!
The tiny flowers have a subtle sweet fragrance.
Worth beyond beauty is the meaning of the Alyssum flower.
Pop the little posy of flowers into a vintage cup of your choice.
This is a teacup from Susie Cooper.
I LOVE the cream aqua and peach glaze
It is the 'Wedding Band' pattern - 479, from about 1933.
You can read all about  the work of Susie Cooper here:

a posy of flowers...
And a  hand stitched doily...
Now that is what a call a perfect décor vignette!

Upcycle Boring Old Baskets With Paint & Knobs....

PAINT IN A CAN....
Oh how I lOVE spray paint!
What would we do without it?
Dull and boring is transformed in a moment!
And that is exactly what happened to these baskets.
I gave them a quick coat of white...
Keeping the coverage a little lighter so that some basket colour pops through.
Add some knobs for a bit of interest...
These are more for looks than being of practical use
Oh how I have always adored these shabby old knobs...
They have been on the shelf in the 'might have a use one day' box!
And finally...
They have been repurposed...
as decorative knobs on the fronts of the painted baskets.
Total transformation time - AN HOUR!
(Thankful for the lovely sunshine and hot Autumn day!)
Dull, boring baskets painted up...
now pretty in white, with added shabby knob glory,
making a 'look at me' shelf statement!

KISS - Easter Table Styling...

OK - ya all know me...
I don't like complicated, AT ALL!
In fact my all time favourite styling term is KISS.
I heard this mentioned many years ago in an interior design forum,
and I thought OH MY GOSH - KISS IS ABSOLUTELY ME!
KISS means - Keep It Simple Stupid...
(No derogatory pun intended!)
And because life is just so...well...BUSY...
KISS and I have become fabulous friends!
The Easter tablescape follows the KISS styling concept and it all began with:
An aqua coloured table runner for a bright pop of colour.
On top of that I added a antique lace tray runner.
A mason jar vase in blue glass.
Into this some blooms of 'Just Joey' rose...
I'm LOVING the stunning colour contrast of the vibrant orange peach with the aqua.
Around the neck of the vase,
I tied a bow of stamped linen raw edged ribbon,
in the same ecru colour as the lace runner.
I left the tails long to drape onto the table.
Add a vintage aqua blue and white spot tiered cake plate filled with mini Easter eggs
(foiled in Aqua of course)...
And a rabbit...
(Must have bunnies on display at Easter!)
This cute bunny was only $6 from The Warehouse!!
Mia Bella Passions KISS Easter tablescape was complete.
Easy to put together with a few key elements, and completely stress-free!
All I'll need to do to maintain the look,
is replenish the eggs as they are devoured...
and freshen the flowers as required.
SO SIMPLE!`
Which leaves me pondering...
How complicated will your Easter decorating be?
Are you tempted to KISS?
