New to the Gallery...Abstract with Butterfly #1

Spring must be in the air, as butterflies and floral abstract, is happening in the studio.

This painting is done in oils on a Quality primed canvas sheet.

It's a mix of concepts with an abstract flower/leaf background and a realist butterfly.

I really like this painting, so it might be a hard one to let go!

The New Zealand Tui...

The Tui is a New Zealand native bird that has glorious plumage as well as song.

I named this fellow 'Peg Leg Pete'... as he was missing part of his foot.

But he seemed to be quite healthy even though he had this predicament.

He was enjoying honey nectar from the flowers in the trees in a bush garden,

 when he kindly posed for these photographs.
