About Cups
- Don't confuse a drinking cup with a measuring cup. Different countries have different size cups! So it is a really good idea to buy a quality set of measuring cups for accuracy.
Dry Measuring Cups
- Dry measuring cups are used for measuring solid ingredients like flour, oats, sugar, etc.
- Most cup sets come in 4 sizes: 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup and 1 cup.
Liquid Measuring Cups Measuring
- Liquid measuring cups are used for measuring fluid ingredients like water, milk, oil, etc.
- These usually come in 2 or 4 cup sizes and will measure in ounces, quarts and millilitres, and will have a handle.
Measuring Spoons Abbreviations
- These usually come with at least four spoons.
