Simple Christmas Meringue Berry Circle

Are you looking for an easy dessert to impress?

One that is quick and delicious and doesn't require much prep time?

Then this simple meringue and berry dessert with cream is the perfect solution. Not only is it easy to make, but it also uses pre-made products for added convenience.

This dessert uses pre-made packaged mini pavlova meringues.

And fresh strawberries and blueberries.

To Make:

Prepare 1 cup of fresh strawberries, remove leaves and halve.

Place in a bowl and add 1 cup of fresh blueberries.

Sprinkle over 1/4 cup powdered icing sugar, stir and set aside.

Place the pavlova meringues in a circle on a platter.

Whip 3 cups of cream with one tablespoon of powdered icing sugar.

I have used a plant-based brand of cream as we have a dairy-free family member.

Pile the whipping cream on tops and sides of the pavalova  meringues.

It's quite a snowy look once this is done.

Then pile the berries into the centre.

This simple meringue and berry dessert with cream is

perfect for when you're short on time or don't feel like doing a lot of baking.

Your taste buds will thank you!

And it serves six people.

If desired, add a pre-made berry topping sauce for extra berry flavour.

And some fresh mint leaves plus berries clustered on the sides of the dessert to decorate.

And there you have it - a delicious and impressive dessert in just minutes!

 Materials You Will Need:

· Large glass bowl or vase

· Christmas ornaments

· Epsom Salts

 Steps to Follow:

1. Clean the glass bowl or vase and ensure it’s dry.

2. Add the Epsom salts at the bottom of the bowl/vase. This will create a bed for the other elements to sit on.

3. Space the Christmas ornaments on top of the Epsom Salts. 

4. Place the finished centrepiece on a Christmas table runner on your table or entrance table as the perfect holiday decoration!

Simple Christmas Pudding Cookies

The Christmas season brings joy and warmth to our hearts. One of the best ways to celebrate this festive time of the year is by baking or creating delicious Christmas cookies.

 

Christmas cookies are a delicious tradition usually homebaked.  But these simple Christmas pudding cookies are created using store-bought chocolate-coated round biscuits.

The fun part is in the dipping of white chocolate and decorating them using sweets in green and red colours so they resemble a Christmas pudding.

Gathering family and friends together to make Christmas cookies is a fun and creative way to celebrate the holiday with loved ones.

 It is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. The tradition of baking cookies during Christmas dates back to medieval times, when people used to bake cookies and exchange them as gifts. 

Today, people still bake or create cookies and gift them to their friends, family, and neighbours. It is a way of spreading joy and warmth to those around them.

You will need:

One packet of chocolate-coated round biscuits (I used Digestives).

1 and 1/4 cups of melted white chocolate.

Soft green sweets for the leaves.

Red M&M's for the berries.

Cut your green lollies into leaf shapes.

And put aside the red M&M's in a dish.

Melt the chocolate over hot water in a pot.

Or you can do this step in a microwave if you wish.

Make sure the melted chocolate is smooth and runny.

Dip half of each biscuit into the melted chocolate.

Decorate with the sweets to create a topping of berries and leaves.

Set aside on a parchment paper-covered tray to set.

Once the chocolate is set, plate and serve.

Or store in an airtight container in the pantry until needed.
