Easy Christmas decor.
That is what I love!
When the festive season is so busy, the decorations in a vase idea is very simple to whip up!
It takes about 15 minutes to put it all together.
All you need is a large tall plain glass vase.
(The one I used was 35cm tall - that's about 13 and a half inches for those who use imperial measurements).
Some Christmas decorations of your choice.
(I used ocean colours, but you can choose whatever colours you like).
Some white aquarium sand, or if you don't have that some Epsom salt crystals.
Some shells.
A small branch from a tree.
And some coloured fine twine.
I used a combination of gold and white, and silver and white twisted twine for a festive feel to my creation.
To Make:
Wash and dry the vase.
Cut the branch to fit to sit over the top of the vase.
Pour an inch or two of sand or salts into the bottom of the vase.
Add some shells (or a focal ornament).
Remove the hangers from the decorations you are using.
Restring them with the strings at different lengths.
(Use the vase height and branch as a guide).
Slip the decorations over the branch.
Place the branch over the top of the vase so the decorations hang inside it.
Place in your home decor Christmas display.
